Chinese Medicine with us
What is chinese medicine?
Chinese medicine is a healthcare approach that has developed over 2,000 years. It comprises a holistic diagnosis system with a treatment approach that may use acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, massage, cupping, and lifestyle guidance. The hallmark of Chinese medicine practice is holistic individualised care, diagnosis and treatment.
Your Chinese medicine practitioner is a highly qualified health professional registered the Australian Health Practitioners Registration Agency (AHPRA). They have a provider number so you can claim through your private health insurance.
Your Chinese medicine practitioner has more than 20 years of clinical experience and a commitment to listening and integrating your current health care journey into an individualised program of treatment. At Eureka Osteo your Chinese medicine treatment will be coordinated with any other health carers you have been seeing.
Our Chinese Medicine practitioner, Andrea Furness, has a special interest in Women’s Health and Fertility. If you are undergoing assisted fertility treatment, your practitioner will spend additional time with you to become familiar with your stage of treatment and co-ordinate with your treatment plan.
What can you expect during your appointment
At your initial consultation, a case history will be taken that inquires into your current health concerns, past health conditions and a range of lifestyle related matters, including diet, exercise, work and sleep patterns, appetite, menstrual cycle, stress responses and environmental sensitivities. Together we will agree on a treatment plan that feels comfortable for you and targets your health concerns.
